This week I went to my hometown to work in my dad’s workshop to create my conductive knitting needles. I use an iron bar number ten and cut it at the same length as the normal needles.
I wanted the shape of the needles to be a little bit different, usually the edge is smooth so you wouldn't get cutted, but I wanted it to be more sharp, kind of like a pencil. I used a polishing machine to create this shape and also to smoother the edge from the other side.
I had a lot of fun making this needles
I had to test the use of it to see how it feels, it is a little bit heavier than the normal needle but not so bad.
I thought it would be nice to ask the students and the instructors how they feel about studying/teaching online, maybe it would help me to create my code more accurate and usable, so I made a survey and sent it.
I saw that people want to see different colors, it could be the yarn color, the type of stitch, I still haven't figured it out yet.
Now, the real issue is to change the function of my mouse into a click of those needles, connecting it to the Arduino as a switch.
