After this week's lab and using the speaker for the first time I started to think a lot about sounds and how I can incorporate it in my first project. Since I am quarantined right now in Israel I found myself missing the sound of my favorite places in the city. I came across a video I shot at the market in Tel Aviv a few months ago and I loved the sound of it.
I realized how much I miss it when it's crowded and when I can hear voices and the background noise. I thought that because in this difficult time and the fact that each of the students is located in a different country it could be really cool if I can get to know more classmates through the sound they like from the places there in. It could be the noise from an outside window in China, even the park in NYC or the market in India. I would love to create sorts of a noise map of the globe. By using an actual globe as my digital signal that can open the door to different countries and their noises.
I still have to figure out how actually pressing on each country in the globe will activate the specific sound of this chosen place. Maybe I can use conductive copper tape to complete the flow in the circuit.
