For me the exercise was very liberating, I tend to overthink and analyze everything so just speaking up from my guts and trying to imagine who drew it, where he was sitting, what he was interested in and etc was very inspiring.
There is also something about first intuition that came to my mind, what exactly you feel in the first impression looking at something says a lot.
Speaking about feelings with the students in my group was really good for me. First, I got to know them better and sharing some of the emotions I felt made me feel much more connected and part of the group. I guess sharing is caring :)
I was reminded throughout the process that when visualizing something there is a lot of information you get just from looking at the colors, scale and composition. Some of the notes I wrote:
A cozy house
Favorite spot house
Light is coming from the entrance door
Old coach? Old house?
Carpet and brown
Waiting for someone?
Doors open are weird
The plants doesn't feel real… shadows are missing
Half of stuff.. we don't get the full picture - elements are cut - maybe missing the big picture?
